This summer will be remembered by many things, not least the less than brilliant weather, but as September is with us things have picked up, with a rise in the temperatures, being the most welcome.

Not quite the end to 2014! A stalwart group supported the "Winter Woolies Run" on 3rd December. The low cloud/heavy sea mist - well, Graham said that it never rains in the Charente- did not dampen the enthusiasm. We weren't there to see Santa depart Mains des Boixe at some early hour, but, we understand that a little lad enroute to school with his Mum, was somewhat taken aback by the sight of Santa driving by in a little bright red MG Midget instead of the usual sleigh! However, we did see the effect he had at Tuscon, when a guy came out of the bakers and almost dropped his bagette at the sight of Santa driving past. We understand he has cut back on the alcohol input!
